ABOUT THIS CONFERENCE
CCT2008 will have a series of lectures held in the middle of each day. A range of cardiac and vascular CT topics will be covered during these lectures. In the mornings and afternoons small hands-on workshops on workstations will be run by the major vendors.
Your take-out from these three days will be both knowledge and tools including:
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This conference will have broad appeal for all radiologists, radiographers, cardiac physicians, nurses, researchers and trainees – whether in public or private practice.
Why should you attend?
A major challenge facing those in imaging is the need to continually upgrade skills in the use and application of technology. By incorporating a broad range of experts, including radiologists, cardiologists and surgeons, you will be provided with the theoretical background required for performing and interpreting cardiovascular CT.
You will receive the unique opportunity to acquire practical experience from industry leaders, including application specific lists from GE & Siemens, in the use of workstations. This is an increasingly vital skill in enabling accurate and efficient reporting of CT. You will learn skills in manipulation of cardiovascular studies which can also be applied to interpretation of other studies - and even other modalities.
Radiologists, Radiographers & Cardiac Physicians
The Conference will present you with opportunities to explore new technologies and techniques that will impact the future of Cardiovascular CT. The mix of theoretical sessions and practical hands-on workshops will reinforce the learning and allow you to explore the different techniques discussed.
Trainees, Nurses and Researchers
CCT2008 will give anyone involved in CT exposure to the fundamental knowledge and techniques involved in this discipline. In addition, critical issues facing all those practicing Cardiovascular CT will be discussed by those leading the field.
CCT2008 is a unique conference and one that must feature in your annual training program.
On behalf of the Organising Committee I have the pleasure of inviting you to attend the second Cardiovascular CT, Concord. This conference follows the success of the inaugural conference in 2006. CT studies continue to develop. Cardiac imaging particularly is benefiting from the faster, higher resolution scanning and is rapidly emerging as a major new tool in the investigation of heart disease.
The opportunity to get training in using workstations will be significantly expanded at the upcoming meeting with a number of small group hands-on workshops being conducted over the 3 days.
We look forward to your attendance and involvement at the conference.
